About

Youth Boost

Partners across the country have worked together to launch Youth Boost, a unique platform that connects youth job seekers to a wide range of resources and supports, including:

  • Prepr learning labs and courses focused on real skills and challenges.
  • Notifications of new jobs that match your skills and career goals.
  • Globally recognized certifications in social media, public relations, search engine optimization (SEO), and Google Ads & Analytics.

Youth Boost gives job seekers access to these tools and more within a single platform. You can create your free account today or access Youth Boost with your Prepr login.

How it Works

Users can create a free Youth Boost account.

Users will complete their profile to capture their skills, experience, and career goals. Based on a user’s profile, they’ll receive invites to apply to relevant jobs shared on the platform.

Youth Boost also gives users access to resources, courses, and learning labs from partners across the country to help build in-demand digital and human skills.

Learning labs are developed with input from employers, industry leaders, and educators, meaning users can complete projects based on real challenges, using real skills in-demand across industries.

Youth Boost will also connect users to paid placements offered through the Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) Boost Your Business Technology Grant, funded by the government of Canada.

Canadian Digital Adoption Program

CDAP is a national program that will help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) realize their full potential by adopting new technologies. CDAP will help SMEs recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and stay competitive in the long-term.

As part of the support CDAP offers, businesses can access funds to hire students or recent graduates between ages 18-30 for paid placements. Participants will gain valuable experience implementing and managing technology solutions and strategies.

Prepr

Prepr delivers quality skills development through virtual labs and challenges. Prepr provides a remote learning environment where participants complete a series of challenges to develop new skills and solve real-world problems.

Labs are developed in partnership with leaders and experts across industries like transportation, energy, hospitality, health, finance, and more.

What you’ll gain:

  • Experience tackling real challenges by using real skills that are in-demand by employers
  • Networking opportunities with job seekers and employers across the globe
  • A portfolio of projects and completed challenges to share with potential employers
  • Connections with industry experts through learning labs
